Video: Nicky - Overcoming Bullying

Fri, 29 Jan 2010 11:57:46 +0000

www.dcsf.gov.uk Nickys daughter Sophie, aged 12, was bullied at primary school for about 5 years. At one point it was so bad she talked about wanting to die. To begin with Nicky didn't recognise what was going on, but became increasingly worried, upset and angry. She started searching online for advice. Her main priority was trying to build Sophie's confidence. Sophie attended a session and that really helped. She's now at secondary school and the bullying has stopped. She's currently a buddy for other kids who are being bullied at her secondary school and is really keen to help other bullied children.
