Some of my students think I look like Havoc from the X-men so they have nicknamed me Mr Havoc. I don't mind, I think people put too much presidence on what a teacher should be called, get the children ready for the 'real world'. Once they get there, they realise that it is nothing like what they say it will be like at school. They are conditioned for university, a place where you can wear what you want and call all your lecturers by their first names, that does not make sense to me.
The other teachers at school see me as a loose cannon, I am searching for teachers who would agree with my point of view; I introduced myself to my pupils as Jason but the headmaster would not allow them to call me so once he got wind of it. Mr Havoc does me just fine (it is better than Mr Partridge at the very very least).
